Three year old footage surfaces showing Senator Ted Cruz dodging questions on his wife’s connections to the Council on Foreign Relations.
Senator Ted Cruz has officially thrown his hat into the ring for the 2016 Presidency. Cruz is often lauded as a hero by Conservatives, Tea Party supporters, and even some Libertarians (that’s BIG “L”) who believe his rhetoric about reducing the federal government and stopping Obama. Despite Cruz’s current position as President Candidate he has not always been the darling of the right wing.
In 2012 Ted Cruz was running for his Senate position and attended a Straw Poll in Texas to build support for his campaign. I had the opportunity to question him about his wife’s connections to the Council on Foreign Relations.

As we reported earlier this week, there are several other reasons to question Cruz’s intentions.
“Many self-proclaimed conservatives, especially from the Tea Party base, have applauded the idea of a Ted Cruz candidacy. However, it seems that the Tea Party no longer opposes corporate collusion, considering that Cruz’ wife works for the primary corporation responsible for the wholesale purchasing of America’s electoral system; Goldman Sachs.
Heidi Cruz, a Harvard Business School graduate who worked in President George W. Bush’s administration, joined Goldman Sachs in 2005 and was promoted to managing director, the firm’s second-highest rank, in 2012. She serves as regional head of the Houston office in the private wealth-management unit, which serves individuals and families who have on average more than $40 million with the firm.
It’s been reported today that Mrs. Cruz will be taking an unpaid leave from Goldman Sachs to “help with her husband’s campaign for the U.S. presidency.” This will undoubtedly serve to deflect from her role in one of America’s most hated corrupt banking entities as well.”
