Seattle Bomb Squad Called For “Strange Package” That Was Just Some Weed

Seattle bomb squad was called when a lumpy plastic-wrapped package was found outside a vacant room at a downtown hotel.

The police, bomb squad, and fire’s hazmat team were called to the Four Seasons Hotel after staff found the package and grew concerned because the shape was odd and the intended recipient unclear.

When the teams arrived on the scene, they “detonated” the “bomb” and discovered a six pound package of marijuana and no explosives.

Seattle police say the pot was covered by several layers of packaging and petroleum jelly.

Police seized the marijuana for destruction.

Possession of marijuana is now legal in Washington, but police note that six pounds is well over the legal limit.

Border Patrol Points Gun At Boy Scout For Taking Picture, Threatens Arrest

Thumbnail for 6187Kristan T. Harris | The Rundown Live

A road trip turned into a nightmare for Iowa Boy Scout Troop 111 Leader Jim Fox and a van load of scouts trying to drive from Canada into Alaska. One of the scouts took a photo of a border patrol agent, which resulted in everyone from that van being detained and having the scouts and their belongings investigated.

Things got intense for Fox when “the agent immediately confiscated his camera, informed him he would be arrested, fined possibly $10,000 and 10 years in prison,” Fox said. “He was told it is a federal offense to take a picture of a federal agent.”

Not wanting things to escalate he says he did not complain. Things got worse.

One of the scouts was bringing down luggage from the top of a van to be investigated when something unexpected happened – “He hears a snap of a holster, turns around, and here’s this agent, both hands on a loaded pistol, pointing at the young man’s head,” Fox explained.

Fox expressed to KCCI that he is outraged over the thought of what happened to Troop 111 and the fact there are people are freely coming across the southern border and Americans are being searched for taking pictures by gun point.

Any information from the photo taken by the Boy Scout most likely is available on Google Earth for free.

Video: Bill O’Reilly & Megyn Kelly Talk About CopBlock.org On Fox

Mike Paczesny | The Rundown Live

Bill O’Reilly did a feature on Texas CopBlock, saying that they ‘spy on police‘.

O’Reilly claims “there is already enough stress on police without these clowns chasing them around.

The police claim sometimes ‘officers are followed‘.

Kelly goes on to say that what they are doing is completely legal in all 50 states, unless the police can prove harassment.

She also points out that ‘no one asked for this service‘ although public opinion greatly differs.

Copblock’s Facebook page has recently passed the FBI in likes, showing how accountability is popular.

According to Copblock.org:

Cop Block is a decentralized project supported by a diverse group of individuals united by their shared goal of police accountability.

We highlight the double standard that some grant to those with badges by pointing to and supporting those harmed.

By documenting police actions whether they are illegal, immoral or just a waste of time and resources then putting direct pressure on the individuals responsible (ideally while recording and then later sharing), we can work together to bring about transparency and have a real impact.

CopBlock.org is a resource for the education of individual rights through the dissemination of different viewpoints and tactics that seek to curtail the all-too-common rights-violations and unaccountability that today exists.

We do not “hate cops.” We believe that no one – not even those with badges – has extra rights. The failure to realize and act on that is to our detriment. By focusing the disinfecting light of transparency on public officials we safeguard not just our rights but those of future generations.

CopBlock has groups in every metropolitan area in the US, and also around the world, Canada, Europe, and beyond.

The Rundown Live has featured CopBlock’s founders on the show here:

Government Agents Directly Involved In Nearly All Highest-Profile Domestic Terrorism Plots

Thumbnail for 6135

Kristan T. Harris | The Rundown live

The Human Rights Watch & Columbia Law School’s Human Rights Institute released a report raising concerns over the ethicality of government procedures when hunting domestic terrorists.

According to the Human Rights Watch website – The 214-page report, “Illusion of Justice: Human Rights Abuses in US Terrorism Prosecutions,” examines 27 federal terrorism cases from initiation of the investigations to sentencing and post-conviction conditions of confinement. It documents the significant human cost of certain counter-terrorism practices, such as overly aggressive sting operations and unnecessarily restrictive conditions of confinement.

Since 9/11, almost all of the highest-profile domestic terrorism plots in the United States featured the “direct involvement” of government agents or informants, the document suggests.

The report raised concerns over borderline procedures that suggest “In some cases the FBI may have created terrorists out of law-abiding individuals by suggesting the idea of taking terrorist action or encouraging the target to act,” .

“Americans have been told that their government is keeping them safe by preventing and prosecuting terrorism inside the US,” said Andrea Prasow, deputy Washington director at Human Rights Watch and one of the authors of the report. “But take a closer look and you realize that many of these people would never have committed a crime if not for law enforcement encouraging, pressuring, and sometimes paying them to commit terrorist acts.”

Jay Dyer | The Rundown Live

Like Many 9/11 Examples, the Scripting of the Malaysian Plane Fiasco Matches the Plot of BBC’s Sherlock

Mycroft tells Sherlock Flight 007 was a false flag with already dead bodies.

Our latest media theatrical blitz is the Hollywood-esque sequel to last month’s suspicious and likely scripted airplane disaster, the mystical Malaysian Plane fiasco.

News junkies and analysts will recall the recent “loss” of Malaysian Airlines Flight 370 which sparked a media furor of high ratings, speculation, pundit nonsense and even the enlistment of Courtney Love’s noteworthy, famed sleuthing abilities.

Video: Your Rights During A Traffic Stop

video platformvideo managementvideo solutionsvideo player

Mike Paczesny | The Rundown Live

All police departments allegedly try to maintain professional standards during traffic stops, although they are not required.

This also goes for the driver, small things like not rolling down the window fully, recording the incident, not giving consent, are all critical rights.

An activist in the video above states:

THE COP WANTS TO STICK HIS HEAD IN YOUR WINDOW AND SMELL IF YOU’VE HAD ALCOHOL OR DRUGS. THAT’S AN UNREASONABLE SEARCH

The video goes on to explain how to minimize your interaction with police, and to the average person I would suggest most of these things, with the exception of ‘not recording‘ due to fear of ‘heightened officer awareness‘.
